The Strategy for the Development of the Food and Processing Industry of the Russian Federation Until 2020 was approved more than six years ago. Over these years, the dairy sector has made a significant step forward, although the main problems addressed in the document as far back as in 2012 are still relevant. The interim results of the Strategy implementation have shown that the approach to developing the dairy industry is in need of a revision.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, jointly with major industry associations, has started building a new strategy that would determine the main development lines and targets for the dairy industry for the next ten years.Key topics The main constraints: what prevents the efficient development of dairy industry?
